Head of Primary School and Foundation Stage
Education leader with more than 22 years of progressive experience, advancing from classroom support and teaching roles to Head of School. NPQH Level 7 qualified and KHDA licensed, with leadership experience across Foundation Stage and primary education.
She runs curriculum, assessment and teaching quality for FS2 to Year 6, prepares the section for KHDA and DSIB inspection, and trains the staff who deliver it.
Leadership responsibilities
- Lead curriculum design and review across EYFS and CAIE-aligned primary provision, incorporating UAE requirements and students' learning needs.
- Lead assessment, teaching and learning; monitor student attainment, progress, behaviour, portfolios, books and classroom evidence.
- Prepare school self-evaluation, action plans, improvement evidence and documentation for KHDA and DSIB inspections; meet inspectors and visitors.
- Observe teaching, provide feedback, and deliver on-campus and online professional development for staff.
- Support recruitment, staffing, admissions, budgeting, timetabling, resource planning and daily section operations with senior leaders.
- Maintain regular parent communication through reports, meetings, circulars, calls and digital platforms.
- Lead digital learning practices using Microsoft Teams, Google Classroom and school platforms, including staff training and quality checks.
- Plan school events, activities, trips, routines and duty schedules while maintaining curriculum and regulatory compliance.
